Build Season Week 5!
Our 2026 robot is almost fully assembled, with all our hardware groups working long days to meet their deadline this week. Our software team is making great progress using our Alpha Bot while they wait for the competition bot. This week the mechanical team will pass along the competition bot for software to “Bring Up” which means essentially to turn it on, but for us it is like the bot taking its first breath!
Our first 2026 Competition is in San Francisco
You’re invited! Come cheer on the Highlander Robotics team at our first competition at the San Francisco District Event at St. Ignatius College Prep, SF, from March 13 to March 15.
Open House with OUSD SPED
Team member Annalise co-hosted an Open House with Oakland Unified School District’s occupational therapist. They showcased how we adapt toys for kids with special needs to members of our middle and high school community. Then Annalise invited them to try soldering to adapt a toy! We were thrilled to host this event at our new 10th Street practice field.
